The first teaser for Children of Blood and Bone has arrived, unveiling Richard Mofe-Damijo and Ayra Starr in the fantasy epic while confirming Tems' growing creative role through her music for the film.
The first teaser for Children of Blood and Bone has been unveiled, offering audiences their clearest look yet at Richard Mofe-Damijo and Ayra Starr in the forthcoming fantasy epic based on Tomi Adeyemi's bestselling novel.
The preview showcases the pair as part of the film's expansive ensemble cast, bringing the mythical kingdom of Orïsha to the screen ahead of the adaptation's theatrical release.
Beyond its visuals, the teaser also spotlights Grammy-winning singer Tems, whose hit single "Me & U" soundtracks the footage. Her manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi, has further confirmed that the Nigerian star contributed three original songs to the film, expanding her role beyond the trailer and positioning her as a key musical voice in the adaptation.
Children of Blood and Bone stars Thuso Mbedu, Amandla Stenberg, Damson Idris, Tosin Cole, Viola Davis, Cynthia Erivo, Idris Elba, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Lashana Lynch, Richard Mofe-Damijo and Ayra Starr. The adaptation is directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and is scheduled for release in 2027.
