Fans of DreamWorks Animation’s The Bad Guys (2022) have something exciting to look forward to, the mischievous crew is back for another thrilling adventure in The Bad Guys 2! This highly anticipated sequel is set to hit theatres on August 1, 2025, continuing the story of the former villains-turned-heroes as they face new challenges in their quest for redemption.

In The Bad Guys 2, the notorious gang, Mr. Wolf (Sam Rockwell), Snake (Marc Maron), Shark (Craig Robinson), Piranha (Anthony Ramos) and Tarantula (Awkwafina) have left their criminal past behind in an attempt to earn society’s trust. But just as they settle into their new lives as reformed citizens, a mysterious turn of events forces them out of retirement. The group must once again embrace their skills in deception and heists, but this time, for a good cause.
While fans are excited to see the return of their favourite reformed villains, this sequel is making headlines with a powerful lineup of Black talent leading the way.

This time around, The Bad Guys 2 features a dynamic cast of Black actors who bring fresh energy and charisma to the franchise:

(The Color Purple, Orange Is the New Black) joins as Kitty Kat, a dangerously clever snow leopard and leader of The Bad Girls, a new crew shaking things up.

(Deadpool 2, Joker) reprises her role as Governor Diane Foxington, the former criminal mastermind turned political leader.

(Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Hot Tub Time Machine) is back as Mr. Shark, the big-hearted, shape-shifting master of disguise. Their performances bring humour, depth, and power to the story, further elevating the sequel’s excitement.
Returning to direct The Bad Guys 2 is Pierre Perifel, who made his directorial debut with the first film. He is joined by co-director JP Sans, who previously led character animation on The Bad Guys. Damon Ross returns as producer, while Daniel Pemberton, the Oscar-nominated composer from the first movie, is back to score the film’s music.
With its mix of humour, action, and heart, The Bad Guys 2 is shaping up to be another entertaining ride for audiences of all ages.
