(Atlanta, GA – March 1, 2025) – As the entertainment industry continues to evolve, Black women are leading the charge, navigating seismic shifts in storytelling, leadership, and visibility. At the 10th Annual Black Women Film Network (BWFN) Summit, a powerhouse lineup of creatives, executives, and rising voices will take center stage to discuss the theme “Plot Twist: The Art of The Pivot.”
Set for March 22, 2025, at the Loudermilk Center in Atlanta, this milestone event will celebrate a decade of fostering community, mentorship, and career advancement for Black women in film and television. Sponsored by NBCUniversal and powered by CVENT, the Summit will feature dynamic conversations with industry insiders, fireside chats with talent like Kat Graham (Duplicity) and Sonay Hoffman (Found), and a special awards luncheon honoring five trailblazing women who have redefined success in entertainment.

Honoring Trailblazers in Film & Television ( Black Women Film Network )
The BWFN Summit Awards Luncheon will recognize five extraordinary women whose work has made a lasting impact in film, television, and media:
🔹 Aja Naomi King (AcceleratHER Award) – The Emmy-nominated star of How to Get Away with Murder and NBC’s Grosse Pointe Garden Society is being honored for her work as an actress, producer, and advocate for representation in entertainment.
🔹 Katori Hall (StoryTellHER Award) – The Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and P-Valley creator is recognized for her groundbreaking contributions to storytelling across stage and screen.
🔹 Angi Bones (ProducHER Award) – As President of Original Programming at Tyler Perry Studios, Bones is celebrated for her leadership in film and television, with recent projects like The Six Triple Eight and Duplicity.
🔹 Denise Williams Watts (Beacon Award) – The Global Editorial Director of Original Content at Apple Music, Watts is honored for her pioneering work in visual storytelling and advocacy for women in media.
🔹 Felicia Joseph (RainmakHER Award) – A top casting executive at Disney Entertainment Television, Joseph has played a key role in shaping the faces of hit shows like Abbott Elementary and Only Murders in the Building.

Founded in 1997, Black Women Film Network (BWFN) has spent nearly three decades championing Black women’s voices in film and television through scholarships, mentorship, screenings, and advocacy.
