  1. TO BE A FRIEND By Bimbo Ademoye | 4.8 Million Views (Uploaded 10 days ago)

Kicking off our countdown of the most-watched new YouTubers films of June/July, To Be a Friend claims the top spot with an impressive 4.8 million views—and it’s easy to see why.

Directed by Great-Val Edochie and produced by Grace Onyia, this gripping drama follows Tega, a young man living in the shadow of his best friend, as he searches for success, love, and a sense of self. The film is a rollercoaster of emotions—betrayal, envy, heartbreak, and redemption—all culminating in a raw and powerful story of brotherhood.

Bimbo Ademoye, Deyemi Okanlawon, Uzor Arukwe, and Kunle Remi deliver unforgettable performances, especially in one of the film’s most heartbreaking scenes where Rugged reveals he was jailed for stealing painkillers—and then abandoned in a broken, corrupt justice system.

To Be a Friend is more than just a film; it’s a reflection of societal failures, human resilience, and the bonds that survive it all. This one lingers long after the credits roll.

Don't sleep on Toyin Abrahams' movie, the 4th Generation, which is steadily climbing and is already at 1.6 million views.

Khadijat, Rukayat, Awawu … and now Laila. 4 generations of women tethered by blood, time, and the silent weight of inheritance. In a world where the seen and unseen intertwine, they walk a path shaped by forces older than memory,  a sphere of the unknown called life. This is a deeply spiritual journey through the veiled corridors of womanhood, where resilience is whispered in prayers, and the past never stays buried for too long. A story about what we carry, what we bury, and what we must face to be free.

  1. COLOURS OF LOVE by Eso Dike| 1 million views (Uploaded 2 weeks ago)

A 10/10 sitting colourful at a number 10, currently at 1 million views, is Eso Dike's Colours of Love. Eucharia will have you clutching your pearls for the girls.

This is a romcom directed by Great-Val Edochie and produced by Eso Dike and Inem King. Colours of Love explores the stigma surrounding age-gap relationships through the unlikely connection between  Bayo (Eso Dike), a trust fund baby on the brink of manhood, and Tinuke(Eucharia Anunobi), a wealthy, powerful lawyer who isn't looking for love. The cast includes Taye Arimoro and Sarian Martin, and Great-Valentine Edochie. The film also delves into themes of femininity and self-identity, highlighting the struggle to remain true to oneself in the face of societal expectations. My favorite scene without a doubt is when Aminat wears heels for the first time and stumbles on a first date with Kofi. In that one moment, we see her vulnerability and quiet charm( although he laughs at her after), setting the tone for a relationship built on sincerity rather than perfection and performances. It's small, but says so much.

  1.   PIECE BY PIECE by Uche Jombo | 616k views (Uploaded 2 weeks ago)

Rounding out the list is Uche Jombo's Piece by Piece, which has just over 600 thousand views. A fitting finale to this powerhouse countdown.

“See why my back hurts? This is one of the consequences of being a provider. I have to carry the whole family on my back.” Ikenna says as Joy massages his back. This moment seems ordinary, but quietly hints at deeper scars.  Directed and produced by Uche Jombo, who equally co-starred in the movie, she takes us down the black hole of abuse, fear, trauma, and the strength to let go. The powerful performances by Ray Adeka and Ifeoma Obinna remind us sometimes that the path to freedom begins with the support of those who refuse to let us break, even if the ones breaking us are from within.
